The Annual EHHS Powderpuff Football Game Fills the Community with Renewed Spirit

EHHS held their annual Seniors vs. Juniors Powderpuff Game last Monday, November 24th. The juniors, who were coached by Mr. Tolla and Mr. Rivellini, were on a roll. They ran the ball well, held strong defense, and even had a couple trick plays. The seniors on the other hand, who were coached by Mr. Merola and Coach Loehmann, unfortunately could not keep up in the end. Although they also ran the ball and played good defense, it was just not enough. The final score came out to be Juniors 14, Seniors 6. Here is a recap of the key plays from the game:

To kick off the game, the juniors started with the ball.

They ran the ball well, but not well enough.

The seniors now had the ball. Mallory Boney ran the ball into the end zone for a touchdown. The seniors went for the extra point, but missed it.

The juniors got the ball again, but couldn’t score.

The seniors took over at the 19 yard line for the 1st and 10 to go the other way. However, they didn’t do anything.

The juniors then got the ball at the 38 yard line.They didn’t do anything either. That completes the first half of the game, with the score standing at Seniors 6, Juniors 0.

The seniors started with the ball at the 30 yard line. They didn’t do much. They went with the punt.

The juniors then took over for the 1st and 10 at the 38 yard line.

Stella Fratantonio attempted the “Frat Sneak” but it was no good.

However, Kylie Mazzucco then ran the ball in for a touchdown. The score was now tied, but not for long.

Kylie also successfully kicked for the extra point. The score was then Juniors 7, Seniors 6.

The seniors got the ball back at the 38 yard line, but once again, did not score.

The juniors got the ball once again at the 38 yard line.

Kylie Mazzucco wasn’t done yet. She scored yet another touchdown.

Undoubtedly, she got the extra point again too. The score stood at Juniors 14, Seniors 6 with one minute and ten seconds left.

The seniors got the ball with 70 yards to go, but unfortunately, didn’t do anything with it.

With no more time left in the game, the juniors secure the win with a final score of Juniors 14, Seniors 6. Some of our cheerleaders were pretty excited about this.
