Hagaman Memorial Library Presents..Film Night: “Wonka” (2023) (PG)

East Haven: Enjoy a night out and pizza and drinks!  Visit the Hagaman Memorial Library on Thursday, May 30 at 5:00 p.m. for a showing of the film Wonka (2023) (PG) starring Timothée Chalamet, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Colman, Jim Carter, and Rowan Atkinson. Pizza and drinks are served at 5:00 p.m. and the film begins at 5:30 p.m.
This fantasy musical film follows the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl’s novel. In particular, it emphasizes his rise to the top. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he became driven to enter the chocolate industry eventually. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl’s novel.
This film showing is free and open to everyone. PLEASE NOTE: This film is rated PG.

Extra parking for evening and weekend library events is available in the East Haven Town Hall parking lot on 250 Main Street (across the street from the library), in the KeyBank parking lot next to the library (after 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays) and in the Stop and Shop lot behind the library, accessible from Messina Drive.
