EHHS Esports Team Wins Against Weston High School

On October 27, the Yellowjackets got their first win of the season with a clean sweep against Weston High School, 3-0. This win was well-deserved for the Yellowjackets.

The team is very happy to see their hard work finally paying off. Justin Trudeau, a player from the Yellowjackets, is greatly satisfied with his and his teammates’ performance during this most recent match: “We have been working hard to practice and communicate as a team. It was enjoyable to finally see the time we put into practicing payoff.” Achieving a victory after a trend of losses significantly boosted the team’s morale, driving them to try even harder in future matches. Trudeau believes that along with his teammates’ performance, they were able to pull off an effective gameplan against their opponents: “[. . .] my teammates were also playing a great game. It is extremely hard to do well unless everyone is focused and ready, but today we were prepared.” This was reflected in the players’ statistics for each round. In round 1, the Yellowjackets won 7-0, with 3 goals from Trudeau, and 4 from his teammate, Anthony Arcangelo. The team also made several key passes that led to this huge win. Though this match was a huge success for the team, they aren’t letting their guard down for the rest of the season. Trudeau recognizes there will be rocks in the road, but believes that he and his team can overcome them: “I believe that the rest of the season will still be challenging, but our team now has the confidence to give it our all for the upcoming games.” Trudeau also complimented his teammates and coach for their good teamwork and determination to win: “I would like to knowledge amazing teamwork shown by Trevor Vaccino and Anthony Arcangelo, and also our persistent Coach, Mr. A.
