STAT CHAT: Erica Canfield

Erica has been doing track for now 3 years, and it all started in her sophomore year of high school where her interest was driven to the sport when she started as varsity as a multi, where she partcipates as a sprinter, jumper, hurdler and thrower. “I’ve always wanted to do a sport but never knew which one till Coach Dunne suggested that I could become a good sprinter”. Erica confessed.

Now she holds the position of Captain of the team where she colaborates bring in support, being  there for her team and pushing everyone to their fullest. Erica is a multi-eventer, she has won two records for East Haven High Schol: The Pentathonal record and 55 hurdles with an 8.9. “My aspirations for the season would be beating a school record and enjoying my last season”. Erica states.

Erica’s future plans at the moment are undecided, but she will be joining the military

She greatly enjoys writing and getting to know her surroundings to provide information to her community, also recognizing athletes from her school for their hard work. As a Senior, she hopes to take with her all of the things she has learned in the past school year.
