A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (book 1)

★★★ 3/5 stars

I got this book because of the popularity of it on TikTok. I did eventually end up liking the book about 50% through when the main character Pip, began to figure out the mystery. In my opinion the beginning of the book was extremely boring and felt like it dragged as it was doing all the backgrounds and basics for the story which can be boring. After halfway through Pip began to get threats and there was also some romance between her and another character, Ravi. The storytelling is amazing and keeps you hooked (in my case after half way through). I love Holly Jackson and she has become one of my new favorite authors.

Good Girl, Bad Blood (book 2)

★★★ 3/5 stars

This book kind of just felt like a run on of the first book and it felt like it could be one book instead of two.  I Feel like Pip (the main character) was very bland in this book and got me a little depressed. Her actions and development felt a little overdone and boring. I also feel like the plot was too predictable and I wasn’t that shocked by how this book progressed. I liked the ending, which is why this book got a 3 star rating. It also convinced me to pick up the third book because of the way I got attached to the characters.

As Good As Dead (book 3)

★★★★★ 5/5 stars

LITERALLY a guide to murder. If the first two books aren’t as worth it this book absolutely makes up for it. I read this book so fast and my jaw dropped every other chapter. I think the reason I love this book so much is because of my love for Ravi from the first book because of his kindness and Pip because of her personality.SPOILER: Pip went from a good girl to a morally gray character who obviously suffers from PTSD because of stuff that happened in the second book. Pip really took the “guide to murder” part seriously and I’m so here for it. I actually really liked this book.

Series Overall: 4.5/5 stars

P.S.This book is becoming a series. It will be starring Emma Myers (Wednesday star) as Pip and Zain Iqbal as Ravi and you can get a special look and some photos on Emma Myers instagram @ememyers

Here is one of the photos from the special look.
