The East Haven Fall Festival was back again this year on September 6, 7, and 8th of 2024 to the town’s delight. There were many vendors, bands, and volunteers helping to make this weekend a success.
At the festival, EHHS Junior, Anna Donofrio, worked alongside her family at the festival as a vendor. They served sausage and peppers, porchetta, meatball subs, and eggplant subs. The response from the crowds was great. The line was all the way down the sidewalk and lots of people loved their food. She said she’ll bring “anything Italian. You ask for it, we will bring it.” Anna Donofrio said that what she most enjoys at the festival is the people, vibe, and being a part of the community.
EHHS Junior, Giulia Donofrio attended the festival on Saturday and said what brought her to the festival today was her booth where she was working with family and friends. Giulia‘s favorite part of the festival tonight was buying a self-defense keychain at one of the booths.
Bella Velazquez was working with The D’Onofrio family and helping their booth tonight. Bella’s favorite part was also buying self-defense keychains with Giulia.
Angelina Martino came to the fair on Saturday to have a good time and hang out with friends. She said she was looking forward to seeing her friends and walking around all the booths to see what they were selling.
Marchella Bailey, a former EHHS student, said what brought her to the festival tonight was all of the vendors, music, and to hang out with her family and friends. Her favorite part of the festival would be seeing old friends and catching up. Marchella said the festival is important for the community because it brings us together as a town and we all get to agree on a mutual thing which is having fun and a good time.
Hector Velazquez said he chooses to participate in this festival because it is a great community event, and it’s good to serve the people with great Italian food.
There was a band at the festival on Saturday night, which added a great moment of entertainment for a lot of people at the festival. Overall, the fall festival was a great success, as usual.
