What is the feeling of graduating? It is the pressure of having to know all of a sudden what you want to do with your future. So, how does this affect your mental health?
Graduating feels like a mix of excitement and relief. You’re proud of what you’ve accomplished, but there’s also that “what’s next?” feeling.
The pressure to have your whole future mapped out right away can be super stressful. It can lead to anxiety and feeling like you’re not good enough if you don’t have a “perfect” plan. It’s okay to not know everything right away! Taking your time to figure things out is totally valid. If you feel like this, just know you’re not alone and it’s okay to feel like this. Most people feel like this at first but you are going to find what you want at the end of the day. Senior season is coming to an end, but it is also one of the most exciting and stressful feelings.
