I did not like this book. I don’t think it’s necessary to understand the actual trilogy and I was disappointed.
I had to force myself through this book as it did not entertain me. I think I was hoping to dive back into the Good Girl’s Guide to Murder world again but this book did not bring that. I also think this book was confusing because of the character names. The plot of this is that the main character, Pip and her friends, pretend to be made up characters for a murder mystery party. I think it was very hard to keep track of the real main characters and the character ones for the party. Examples: Pip and Celia, and I wouldn’t know who is who. I do however like how the ending of this book gives insight on how Pip chose her capstone project (the murder of Andie Bell) but overall I just don’t think this book is a necessary read.
