Deadpool & Wolverine is a 2024 action comedy. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the main two characters. Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, is informed that the Time Variance Authority (TVA) will get rid of his universe after Wolverine dies because the universe is no longer important. Deadpool then goes on to find the Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, who will manage to be the saving grace to his universe and stop the TVA from destroying it.
Throughout the two hours and seven minute run time, we get the usual action-packed chaos and quick quips every Deadpool movie promises. Ryan Reynolds gives his usual charm to the character along with Hugh Jackman’s amazing portrayal returning as The Wolverine. After not seeing this duo on screen since 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, fans are happy for the screen time these two get together that we’ve long been waiting to see again.
Alongside the two main characters are a cast of familiar and new faces. A lot of these familiar faces are characters seen in prior X-Men movies now making their debut appearance in Marvel and shocking the audience with the amount of cameos we are gifted.
My personal opinion of this movie is that it was a masterpiece. As an X-Men and a Marvel fan, it was amazing to see all my favorites on the big screen again. The plot was great and it was easy to follow along even if you hadn’t seen prior movies. Some of the cameos may not be as exciting to non-fans of the X-Men films but it’s still exciting anyways. The movie has some slow bits but then jumps right back into the action. We get some of the most iconic scenes and music that we’ve seen in a while which makes people continue to talk about the movie even months after its release.
I give Deadpool & Wolverine 5/5 Dogpools.
