EHHS had yet another busy week in sports, with our Yellowjackets competing in boys soccer, girls soccer, volleyball, and football.
Boys Soccer:
The Yellowjackets boys soccer team had two games this past week. They faced the Career-Hillhouse Panthers on Tuesday, October 14th and secured a win with the final score being Yellowjackets 2, Panthers 0. They then faced the Branford Hornets on Wednesday, October 15th and fell short. The final score was Hornets 3, Yellowjackets 1.
Girls Soccer:
The Yellowjackets girls soccer team also had two games this past week. They too faced the Career-Hillhouse Panthers on Tuesday, October 14th and then the Branford Hornets on Wednesday, October 15th. The girls tied the Career-Hillhouse Panthers 0-0, and they fell to the Hornets with a final score of Hornets 4, Yellowjackets 1.
Volleyball:
The Yellowjackets volleyball team played the Hamden Dragons on Wednesday, October 15th. The girls took a loss, with the Dragons beating them in three sets and the final score being Dragons 3, Yellowjackets 0.
Football:
The Yellowjackets football team took on the Wilbur Cross Governors on Friday, October 10th. The Yellowjackets were able to secure the win. The final score ended up being Yellowjackets 20, Governors 6.
With fall sports coming to an end, fans are highly encouraged to come out and support the Yellowjackets as they close out their fall season. Next week, boys soccer will travel to Amity Regional High School and take on the Spartans on Saturday, October 18th. Girls soccer is set to face the West Haven Blue Devils at home on Tuesday, October 21st. Volleyball will go to Clinton to play the Morgan Huskies on Monday, October 20th. The football team is traveling to Hamden to face the Hamden Dragons on Thursday, October 30th.
