Kolbey and Gianna made All States cheer during the 2024-2025 season. They were previously selected for All States each of the last 3 years. Only 5 girls from each school qualify for All States. The requirements were to be able to remember certain dances, cheers, jumps, and be a high skilled tumbler all while being enthusiastic.
Gianna Perciballi has been cheering All State for 8 years, then joined EHVC freshman year. She now participates as a side base, but used to be a flyer. Prior to cheering, she played soccer, dance, acro, then went into tumbling which is when her interest was driven to cheer. Her favorite stunt is a flying tuck basket, which is when the bases throw you in the air as you do a back tuck, and a tumbling pass full, which is a running cartwheel back handspring into a flip. After high school, Gianna wants to cheer for Sacred Heart University or Uconn. “I wanted to bring my skills to the team and help out. Once I became a freshman, I became obsessed with the team and coaching and it was fun, not stressful,” Gianna stated.
“Gianna is always there to help out. Whether it be with tumbling, stunting, or even just being there for someone as a shoulder to lean on! She is another true leader at heart,” Coach Tia Speringo shared.
In contrast to Gianna, Kolbey Nastri did dance for 10 years before switching to cheer, where she participates as a main base, but also used to fly. Her favorite stunt is a 360 switch up, which is a twisting stunt in which thee flyer and/or bases rotate 360 degrees. “The positive energy and environment my teammates give as well as the coaches. It’s an amazing environment to be in, this helps me want to continue cheering,” Kolbey expressed.
“Kolbey, as a two year captain, is always there for the team and really wants the team to succeed! She pushes everyone to their fullest potential possible and always reminds everyone to never give up and to keep pushing. She is a natural born leader and always has such a positive attitude!” Coach Tia Speringo shared.

Gianna explained how getting chosen for All States was a very stressful experience. The feeling of being pressured to qualify every year was always in the back of her mind, but the feeling of accomplishment outweighed the stress.
Coach Tia Speringo shared, “Gianna and Kolbey are both very good assets to the team and are very passionate about the sport. Gianna and Kolbey are both amazing athletes! They both come into practice and games ready to give 110% all the time. They both love the team and the sport so much and it definitely does not go unnoticed!”
